DUCKY (2020)
A 52-page manga pilot self-directed for Shonen Jump Tezuka Manga Contest.
DUCKY is about a futuristic but not-so-nicely familiar world where aliens roam the streets, make snide comments about your form at the gym, and live inside miniature UFO hats on humans’ heads like a chihuahua in a Gucci bag.
The titular hero herself Ducky is a rare form 100% societal slacker, totally unwilling to play the game to make end’s meet in a rancid city desolate of hopes and dreams. She’d rather steal and play (super nice non-violent) tricks to keep her not-having-it roommate Pepper from throwing her to the streets. But you never know, maybe there’s something out there that could put a spin on Ducky’s life of just getting by…
